Custom Research Requests

Through our renewed partnership with the Education Advisory Board (EAB) we are now able to entertain custom research requests from University Life Units. Research requests are accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed and prioritized by the Senior Staff. Please submit your custom research request using the form below:

  • What is the problem, issue, challenge, practice to be researched?
  • Aim for focused questions. For example, rather than “What are the best practices for increasing retention?”, ask questions such as: "What support services do institutions offer to first-generation students?, How do services address both academic and extracurricular components of college life?, What staff oversee first-generation support services, and what are their responsibilities?, What is the budget dedicated to these services?, How have services affected retention and completion rates?, What challenges do institutions face with retention of first-generation students?, What strategies do our peer institutions use to retain first-generation students?, What resources are required to offer retention services to first-generation students?, and/or What is the retention rate of first-generation students at peer institutions?”.
  • Examples: Use it for strategic planning, inform staff training, support budget requests, etc.
  • Note: Once initiated, research projects will take approximately 8 weeks to complete. Projects are reviewed and prioritized on a rolling basis.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
